Macwan Apps ("we", "us") is an indie iOS development studio operated by Jobin Macwan. Privacy is one of our core values: our apps are designed to collect as little data as possible, and wherever possible, to keep your data on your device.

This policy covers the macwanapps.com website and summarizes how each of our apps handles data. Each app also has its own detailed privacy policy, linked below.

This website

When you visit macwanapps.com, we collect anonymous usage analytics (pages visited, referrer, browser type, approximate region) using PostHog. This helps us understand how people find and use the site. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

WalkFirst – Earn Screen Time

WalkFirst is built to be fully private by design:

• Your step data comes from Apple Health and never leaves your device.
• Your list of blocked apps is managed by Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework — we cannot see which apps you block, and this information never leaves your device.
• We do not require an account, and we do not collect, upload, or store any personal data on any server.
• Anonymous app-usage analytics and subscription management are handled via privacy-respecting third parties (PostHog, RevenueCat) without personal identity.

Rock & Gem Identifier: Rockiva

Rockiva identifies rocks, crystals, and gemstones from photos:

• When you photograph a specimen, the image is sent securely to an AI vision provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate the identification, then the result is returned to your device.
• We do not build user profiles from your photos, and we do not sell or share them.
• No account is required, and your identification history is stored locally on your device.
• Subscription management is handled via Apple's StoreKit; anonymous usage analytics help us improve the app.

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never show third-party ads or use advertising trackers.
• We never collect more than an app needs to do its job.

Your rights

Because our apps store data on your device, deleting an app removes its data. For anything else — questions, data requests, or concerns — email us and we'll respond promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes to an individual app's data handling will also be reflected in that app's own policy.
