Do I need an internet connection to study?
No. Every question, lesson and the full booklet are built into the app and work offline. When you're online the app occasionally checks for updated content, such as a changed official's name, but it always keeps working from what's built in.
How does the app handle the Australian values questions?
On the real test you need at least 15 of 20 correct overall and all five Australian values questions correct. The mock exam scores both, the way the real test does, and shows the reason if either falls short. The values drill lets you practise those questions on their own until five out of five is routine.
Does it cover the whole booklet?
It covers Parts 1 to 4 of Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, the testable section. The parts the test doesn't draw from aren't quizzed. The booklet itself is readable in the app and always free, and the official copy is free at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au.
I've been approved for the Assisted Test. Can I practise with more time?
Yes. Turn on the Assisted Test setting in the You tab and mock exams give you 90 minutes instead of 45.
Is my study progress private?
Yes. There is no account and no sign-in, and your answers, scores and streaks are stored only on your device, never uploaded or synced to a server. Anonymous usage analytics use a random install identifier, never your identity. See the privacy policy for details.
What's free, and what does full access unlock?
The three chapters of Part 1, the values drill, two test sets and two mock exams are free, and so is the booklet itself. Full access unlocks every chapter, all 800+ questions and unlimited mock exams, as a one-time lifetime purchase or a weekly subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not your device. On a new iPhone, download the app and tap "Restore Purchases" if your access doesn't appear automatically.
How do I cancel the weekly subscription?
The weekly plan is billed by Apple: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Australian Citizenship Test to change or cancel it. The one-time lifetime purchase never renews and needs no cancelling. For refunds, use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is this an official government app?
No. It's an independent study tool made by Macwan Apps, and it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs. Book and sit your test through Home Affairs.
I found a wrong or outdated answer. What should I do?
Please email support@macwanapps.com with the question. Facts like officials' names change, and we update the content when they do. Reader reports genuinely improve the app.
