Canada Citizenship 2027 is a study app for the Canadian citizenship test, made by Macwan Apps (Jobin Macwan). It's built to collect as little as possible, and your study progress stays on your phone.

In short

• No account and no sign-in.
• Your progress stays on your phone. We never receive it.
• We count how the app is used, anonymously, to make it better.
• No ads, no tracking across other apps, and we never sell data.

Everything stays on your device

These are saved only on your iPhone or iPad:

• Your answers, scores, streaks and saved questions.
• Your settings: language, province or territory, test date and reminder time.
• Your first name, if you choose to add one. It's optional and only used to greet you.

Nothing here is sent to us or saved to iCloud. If you delete the app, all of it is deleted too.

What we learn about app use (anonymously)

To see which parts help people prepare, and to fix what doesn't, the app sends anonymous usage counts to our analytics service, PostHog.

What's sent:

• A random code made on your phone, so one phone isn't counted twice. It isn't your name, email, Apple ID or advertising ID.
• What you do in the app, for example: a lesson opened, a question answered right or wrong, a mock exam finished and its score, the province you picked, your reminder time, and the app version.

What's never sent: your name or contact details, anything you type (including searches), your advertising ID or your location.

We use this only to improve the app. Never for ads, and never sold or shared.

Payments

• All payments go through Apple. We never see your card or payment details.
• To unlock what you bought on all your devices, we use RevenueCat. It only sees an anonymous purchase code and Apple's receipt. It isn't linked to your name.

Question updates

• All questions, lessons and audio come inside the app and work offline.
• Now and then the app checks macwanapps.com for updated questions, for example when an official changes, and downloads them.
• This check sends no personal information. Like any website, our host sees basic connection details such as your IP address, and we don't use them to identify you.

Reminders

• Study reminders, and the reminder the day before a free trial ends, are created and shown by your phone itself.
• Nothing about your reminders is sent to us.

Listening to lessons

• Lessons are read aloud in English and French by a computer-generated voice.
• The audio is inside the app and plays offline. Listening sends no data.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and made for adults preparing for the citizenship test. It isn't aimed at children, and it doesn't collect personal information from anyone.

Your choices

• Your study data is on your phone, so you're in control of it.
• Deleting the app deletes your data and its random code.
• For any privacy question or request, email us and we'll reply quickly.
